To pursue, or not to pursue....That is the question.
I'm thinking seriously about taking up my music again. Problem is...I don't have a band. I have a few people in mind (you know who you are) but I've got to straighten things out in my head.
I guess that I feel like I've just dropped everything since I've gotten married. Don't get me wrong...Marriage is a wonderful thing...but I don't want to loose that part of myself as a result of it. I guess I finally have a hobby while my husband spends endless hours in the yard and greenhouse. :-)
Jer's friend Rich has a lot of high end recording equipment and he wants people to record with so that he has practice. (He'd like to make a career of it someday) But, my problem is that I get through the recording and I'm broke and I can't get the CD made after that. We'll see what happens. I think that I just need to start writing again. It would be a good outlet for me. We'll see what happens. If you're interested in talking about it, come and chat to me.
Some of my latest tunes
"I am thinking it's a sign
That the freckles in our eyes
Are mirror images and
When we kiss they're perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate
That God himself did make us into
Corresponding shapes like puzzles pieces
From the clay
True, it may seem like a stretch
But it's thoughts like this
That catch my troubled head
When you're away, when I am missing you to death
When you were out there on the road
For several weeks of shows
And when you scan the radio
I hope this song will guide you home
They will see us waving from such great heights
"Come down now," they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
"Come down now," but we'll stay
I've tried my best to leave
This all on your machine
But the persistent beat
Sounded thin upon listening
That frankly will not fly
You will hear the shrillest highs
And lowest lows with the windows down
When this is guiding you home
They will see us waving from such great heights
"Come down now," they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
"Come down now," but we'll say..."

Such Great Heights' by
Iron and Wine"...So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place you've know
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?"

Delicate' by
