A huge update is needed...

So, it's official... I have only a month and a week until my practicum is finished and I start getting paid for my work. I don't officially convocate until June 8th 2007, but I will have completed everything anyway.

I've just finished looking for jobs on the internet and I'm not sure where I'll end up. I'm applying with the Saskatoon Health Region with CPAS - Client Patient Access Services and with Addictions Services. I'm also looking into applying at the John Howard Society as a youth mediation caseworker, a position at Red Willow Centre as a Youth Care Worker and an Acquired Brain Injury Community Support Worker through the Saskatchewan Abilities Council. Of course I'll apply at my current practicum placement (Department of Community Resources - AKA "Social Services") as well. I'm getting a bit stressed just thinking about it.

One thing that has become clear through this search is that there are jobs for social workers in Saskatchewan. This is a comforting thought.

Anyway, I hope everyone is well. My apologies for being so reclusive. I can't believe all these years in University are almost over....(I must pinch myself... pinch, pinch)

In other news, Jeremy was accepted into the University of Saskatchewan College of Engineering with an instant scholarship! Yay for him and being so smart. I may have married a geek, but a geek is the only way to go. ;-) We're still waiting to hear about several other scholarships he has applied for. The plan is, if he gets 85% of the expenses covered, he's going. If God wants it to happen it will. Jeremy is quiting his job at Globe as of the end of June this year and plans to take the summer off to look after Bryson and garden. He's worked very hard the past few years and deserves a much needed break. (Hopefully I can bring home enough bacon for us to live on...)

That's the update from us... Love and miss all of you.
