Third time is a charm...
My friend Cara is getting married! (Congrats to Cara and Jamie) The date is set for September 22 and I will be a bridesmaid for a third time. Below is a picture of the dress that I've chosen to wear. Cara let me choose the style of dress, but it will be a police wedding so our dresses had to be claret red. I'm really excited about it and I had a ton of fun doing wedding things with her yesterday! Congrats Cara!
P.S. Ever since I updated to this new gmail blogger, every post says I am Jeremy. I'm just going to sign my name after the posts that I write until I make my own new blog.

The end is virtually here...
I have five full days left of work to complete my BSW (Bachelor of Social Work). I can't believe how crazy these past few months have been, and I couldn't have done it without a few people (God and Jer...and Tam...thanks Tam) I'm glad to be done and I feel really pleased that I can now contribute what I've learned on the job. Speaking of jobs....
I GOT AN INTERVIEW AT CPAS (Client Patient Access Services - Saskatoon Health Region) An old prof. of mine put in a good word for me. The health region is a much better pay than where I am now and much less stress. Prayers are very much appreciated here. The interview is April 25 at 9am. I'm nervous, but excited at the same time. The plan is to build up seniority in the Health Region and then eventually work in the Addictions field. I'd like to get a job in that new treatment facility for youth that they are trying (and notice I say trying) to build near the Christian School. (I'm not going to comment on that whole scandal until I know I'll be rational...) I'm really hoping that I can get this job. Although, even an interview is more promising than what I had this morning... A whole lot of nothing.
I am excited. A big congrats goes out to Caroline as well for being finished. I know Law School is quite a bit more challenging that what I've been doing, so I'm super proud of her too! We all need to take a trip to the spa.
Below is a picture of where my convocation ceremony will take place. I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks to everyone who has been there for me over the past few years.

Garry Trudeau"
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Have a great spring and summer everyone!
